The Green Lighthouse was a pavilion co-created with six young girls, aged 13-15, from Solvangs ungdomscenter. The final design was developed with the girls’ input and built in a small square linking the local school, library/community center and the church. As the square will undergo a total transformation, we decided to invite people to draw and write on the wooden structure. It was intended as a sustainable meeting place: a ‘green lighthouse’ that invites children, youth, and community members to come and play, meet, and hang out.
