Community Engagement & Trainings for Sustainable Development
Location: Al-Fayha Village, Jordan
Partners: Rahma Worldwide
Donor: CISU – Civilsamfund I Udvikling
Year: 2023
At the onset of the new year, we are happy and proud to finally share experiences from our most recent project in Jordan, ‘Community Engagement & Trainings for Sustainable Development in Al-Fayha Village’. The project was financed by CISU – Civilsamfund i Udvikling that enabled Emergency Architecture & Human Rights and Rahma Worldwide to collaborate with local communities in fostering new ideas, strengthening local capacitates and together explore pathways towards sustainable change in a region riddled by economic and environmental challenges.
The booklet, ‘Beyond emergencies: Steps Towards Sustainable Change’, presents some central insights from the project, reflecting on various issues as: the important role of women in Jordan’s development trajectory; the necessity to think environmental issues into emergency responses; and methodological reflections gained from the collaboration.
In hope of a brighter 2023, we extent our sincerest thanks to everybody who has participated in the project. In particularly Rahma Worldwide and the Al Fayha Cultural Club.
